What was that experience like as a Jets fan, and what can Titans fans expect from Salah?

It kind of feels like the storybook has been revealed before we read page one.

And that makes it feel like everyone secretly wants the Rams to do it.

In fact, Brandon, you had mentioned maybe coming to the show with a couple of predictions and.

Woody, had he not just fired another coach or was not in a run of doing that, and being, uh, bludgeoned for doing so, I think would have fired Aaron Glenn, but was like, "I better deny those instincts and just stick with, with my head coach for once," right? How say you?

And I think they, they were so certain that Glenn was the guy, and he could still turn out to be the guy, although there's plenty of signs pointing to that not being the fact, that they gave him the type of contract where even for a billionaire nepo- nepo baby like Woody Johnson, it would've been just swallowing a lot.

And it just made sense where the organization was, um, to give this another year, and then if thing, if things don't get better, then you hit the hard reset, um, with a head coach/play caller and an incoming rookie.

I, I've been a little bit, um, frightened by some of the logic around the Jets, and, and the only, the only part that hasn't been k- kind of checking out to me is Aaron Glenn himself.

And it was a little rocky if you go back in how he handled his coaching staff.

... and people, in my mind, overreacting to that, what training camp storylines have you determined are in fact real, Dan Hanzus, for 2026?

than the idea of presenting Shador Sanders as the likable underdog in the room.

I would never root for that guy.

That guy, there's nothing to me likable about Shador Sanders.

Deshaun Watson actually has... criminal-based things around him and all sorts of baggage that is ugly.

But both these guys stink, and both these guys are not personality matches as franchise leaders, in my opinion.

It's like that path is available for Garrett Wilson, I think, 100%.

C.J. Stroud will be fine.

Oh, okay.

I like this one because I'm in the opposite boat.

Yeah, I understand there are a lot of things where you look at last season with Stroud and it's like, yes, he played horrifically in the postseason, both in the win against the Steelers and then bottoming out against new England and, and, and you shouldn't take too much of a sample, small sample size there.

And also remembering the offensive line again was kind of piecemeal.

I just look at this roster and I think, man, are they really in much better shape at those kind of weak points and those pressure points than they were heading into 2025? I don't think so.

How say you?

Well, I would say that Jets fans will always, um, root against the Patriots, as many people in America will.

I'll also say that you'll be hard-pressed to find Jets fans rooting against Sam Darnold.

Sam Darnold was a guy that everyone, even...

And it's a maniacal fan base, Jets fans, and we're going through a lot right now.

Um, but the one thing that you're not gonna find is a ton of Jets fans that are bitter towards Darnold finding success now, because everyone that actually paid attention to his time with the Jets knows almost everything that happened was not his fault.

He wins in a big spot, now Sam Darnold has that stink off of him.

So where do you fall on this one? Packers or Broncos as a Super Bowl team?

I'm Packers on this one.

I don't want to dismiss the Broncos because, uh, th- there's a reason why they've, they've won all these games.

They have a great, uh, ability to close and the quarterback's at the front of the line with that where he could look like a totally different guy in the last 15 minutes.

I just think that type of playing style and that, that hot and cold is not the stuff of champions.

Like that's the stuff of like a, a team coming off a bye getting picked off in the divisional round.

And now I just wanna, uh, I think what I'm curious about is how well done, how crispy, how, how blackened is this going to be.

Um, it's, it's silly to say this about a 17-game season, but I really did think, and I said this a lot over the summer, that week one against Aaron Rodgers at home just felt like such an important game for, uh, not just the Jets to get off on the right foot, uh, but for Aaron Glenn.

That's, uh, that's gotta be a bad omen for the, for the season, or no?

I'm, listen, I'm gonna, I, I'm one of those rare, you know, Dave, one of those rare optimistic Jets fan.

I always have an open heart and I understand every team's gonna deal with a big injury at some point.

The Jets got theirs a little bit earlier.

Hopefully it's the last major injury they have, but it's a big one.

Th- this is a team that in, uh, Breece Hall and Braylon Allen and Justin Fields, I think their whole game plan is, "We want 50 yards on the ground from the quarterback, we wanna, like, maybe 120, 130 yards from our two running backs that we love, and we're gonna use our defense and win some low-scoring games." I don't think you're gonna see J- if...

Like, Pittsburgh fans are like, "Oh, we're gonna stick it to Justin Fields, uh, uh, our secondary's gonna lock him down." I don't think he's gonna throw that much.

How do you think this one plays out?

Yeah.

It could still be a very ex- exciting and successful season for Washington fans and they, they deserve that as well, but yeah, I th- I think the Bucs...

I think the one thing I've learned and we've learned 'cause we've, you know, both showered Baker with praise, uh, in, in this, this Tampa Bay run is that he's a guy that now I trust to handle the OC change.

He's s- shown it twice and, and continues to thrive and he's the type of guy that... and it's not a twist of the knife because, like, we've talked about the Baker-Browns thing, like, he's such a-

... how do you view the Jets' season?

I think, I think the Jets' season can be a successful one without having a winning record.

It's nice to be back our head underneath the clouds and not thinking, "Oh, maybe we go to the Super Bowl." If Aaron Glenn can instill a program, if it could feel like the season ends where, uh, we're building something.

And maybe the quarterback sticks and maybe it's a, it's a Band-Aid until they can use a high draft pick next year, which is probably more where I see it.
