This is so interesting to me because I've always felt like I wasn't sure who my Mount Rushmore was.

And then when he gave this criteria, I was like, oh, the Pioneer, Dan Gable.

The innovator, John Smith.

The icon, Jordan Burroughs.

It's like all these wrestlers have daughters.

I mean, going back to Dan Gable, I mean, you mentioned Donnie Preslap before.

I know Donnie's got daughters.

You know, Jared Freer comes to mind.

Okay, close enough.

I think all three of those guys would get along.

If you were to talk to Dan Gable about something, what would you be most intrigued to learn about him?

I think just his... psyche going in as a competitor and as a coach like i've heard a lot of really good things about how you know he was able to to kind of motivate different guys differently so i think and that was before all the sports psych stuff was was out and about you know so i think he he kind of pioneered a lot of it for wrestling and i think it'd be cool to kind of learn about his thought process and how he developed these these different ways of motivating people and and finding the right guys and training them the right way and knowing when to back off and knowing when to push them

And then I trained with the college kids when I wasn't training in high school.

Then I turned around, I'm like, who's the best coach in the country? And it was Dan Gable, Olympic gold medalist, never had a single point scored against him.

So I went all the way to Iowa, trained under Dan Gable for two years.

By my senior year, I had won three state championships and was undefeated.

Greco-Roman, freestyle, and then regular state championships.
