You look at the sheer amount of prep and research that goes into any – single broadcast on a daily or even the night before two nights before type basis if you could just give us a little window into how much prep how much research goes into each game and do you have any specific quirks with any of your prep i've seen uh broadcasters have different ways of setting up their call sheets is there anything that you found throughout your career that has made the process of calling live nhl hockey games a little bit easier

It's a great question because I've tried everything to try to make it easier and Less cluttered, but making sure enough information was there to call upon it when there was a moment to be able to use it.

And in hockey, it's a bit different.

So I've had the chance to call MLS soccer up in Toronto with Toronto SC for a number of years.

I use stickers for all 11 players.

And then as soon as that player was subbed in, I would put a sticker over top of the name.

But it's 11 guys on the pitch at the same time for the entirety of the game.

And did you feel, as you're calling a game or sometimes when you're calling a game, uh, given the enormity of the game and the situation, that you feel like you needed to meet the moment there?

Uh, well, I trust ...

Listen, when I, when I got to Buffalo, obviously the conversation always is around RJ and the bar that he set, and, and Ted Darling before him, right? You have two Hall of Fame guys there.

When I was in Toronto for two years with the Leafs, uh, two years into my three-year deal there, my first NHL f- uh, you know, a full-time play-by-play opportunity, uh, there was Joe Bowen, who's another Hall of Famer.

So I've always had this kind of greatness right in front of me, uh, as I waited for an opportunity.

And you watch, you learn, you listen, you realize you can't emulate them.

But the one thing that they all did have, you know, and I, I ...

Uh, Montreal, for their part, they get to this game because of incredible hard work against a really good team in Tampa in that, you know, seven-game, one-goal series by scoring two goals that n- nobody put directly into the net.

So, you know, you get bounces at times in a game, and I think they're just magnified now, again, because of what is at stake.

So, uh, Buffalo gets a break with that Zamboni door play.

Um, you know, Razor talks about it all the time.

Some of the, the bounces that happened at home in the past in Buffalo coming off the same entrance door, uh, off to the left of the visiting goalie, just over his left shoulder.

Like, I, I, I gotta imagine Lindy had something, right?
