Dan Aykroyd

The cold open is Don Kirshner's rock concert.

Television host Don Kirshner, played once again by the iconic and often overlooked Paul Schaefer, introduces the Blues Brothers, who are, of course, played by Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi.

Before we get into the Blues Brothers.

This is

their first appearance on the show.

He's not great at this.

Today, with the help of Nessie Wexler, Jerry Erdogan, and the staff of Pacific Records, their manager, Maury Daniels, and with the support of fellow artists, Curtis Salgado and The Cray Band, they are no longer an authentic blues act, but have managed to become a viable commercial product.

So now, let's join Jolly X Jake and his silent brother Elwood, the Blues Brothers.

Him and Aykroyd wrote drafts for this.

The Blues Brothers, Ghostbusters, Spies Like Us.

Nothing but trouble.

The cleanup and commercialization writing was done by Bonnie and Terry Turner, we mentioned.

Next up, again, Mario Tani.

And he has a picture, a GIF of Steve Martin and Dan Aykroyd from Saturday Night Live.

And they used to do these two characters, and the characters would always go, We're two wild and crazy guys.

Mm-hmm.

Even when it was dealt with in kind of a funny way.

The remaking of Dragnet with Dan Aykroyd.

There it was sort of laughable, but you get that same sort of occultic thing going on.

Or some of the ones I wondered, what kids made of some of the Harrison Ford movies.
