Damon Ferguson

Much as I expected, Turner got most of the work.

But I do think we're still gonna see Damon Ferguson and Lavel Wright get their touches as they did.

I think they all three of those guys had a touchdown.

That's the one thing about Jakhari and Turner.

But anyway, it's Pittsburgh.

Four star running back, Damon Ferguson.

He's got three starts already.

51 carries, 270 yards, three touchdowns.

Uh-

No, no, no. Who's the fr- Ferguson.

So I'm sorry.

Ferguson.

Ferguson.

Yes.

Yes.

Ferguson is the freshman.

I was not impressed by what I saw from Mason Heinzel in that game.

Was impressed with the running back in Damon Ferguson.

Young back, looks like he could be good there.

But he's going to have a tough day if Heinzel in this receiving core pass game cannot help him out.

They're going to air the ball out.

So their leading rusher is 5'11", 190, freshman Damon Ferguson Jr., 45 carries, 239 yards and two touchdowns.

That's 5.3 yards per clip.

And let's talk about passing.

They didn't need Boosie Turner against Syracuse last week, as we saw, being that they put this running back room together in a way where when Pat Narduzzi says they have depth, they have depth.

Like, they have Lavelle Wright, they have Damon Ferguson, and honestly, you can probably trust those two just as much as you can Boozy.

But that would probably be the biggest thing for them, for me, this week, is the ability to kind of go out there.

It's kind of like a free space.

Basically, treat it like a preseason game.

Is there somebody down the depth chart you're anxious to get an eye on?

answer here would be damon ferguson if it was two weeks ago and boozy turner was still healthy like he got in against miami ohio he had that receiving touchdown i think he had uh 44 uh yards from scrimmage that day i think it'll be a day where i've focused a lot on too deep over the past few weeks i'm at the point now where like we talked about last time i was on the show a few weeks ago where i am was still kind of learning the roster now I played Nick actually the other night in college football, I chose Pitt.

And I was like, I know every one of these guys and where they're lined up.

So I'm going to three on this.

I like Damon Ferguson emergence emerging at the running back position.

I think the offensive line, quite frankly, could play better given their experience and veteran leadership.

I think that has been a little bit up and down, but we've got to see more out of Mason Heinzel.

He did not.

Damon Ferguson ran for 100 yards.

Lavelle Wright gets some touches as well.

Now Pitt plays Bucknell.

So even if Turner comes back this week, which is like, why would you play him this week if he's banged up? Because They're going to beat Bucknell.

You start getting to the situation where Damon Ferguson has looked good, and you just wonder now, if Ferguson looks that good, even if Turner's healthy, will he get the lion's share of work in that backfield? And so...

We go another week without seeing Turner and Ferguson has another good game.

I'm genuinely concerned for Ja'Kerion Turner and his fantasy appeal for the rest of the season as we move forward if Ferguson continues to look good.
