Is the simplest answer just to not do any exercise when it's really hot?

Absolutely not.

We need exercise.

It is the singular best medicine.

We've just got to adjust our session.

So think of exercise as a medicine.

David, is there any cutting edge sports science on how you can keep going in the heat? Yeah.

I think some of that strength stuff we've known about for a while, but there's, uh, now a lot of discussion around whether it improves brain health.

Yeah.

So your brain weighs less than 2% of your entire body mass, yet it's consuming 25 to 30% of your entire energy budget.

So creatine is the perfect potential energy store, uh, that the brain could lead on.

And there's some recent research that's actually demonstrating when we exercise, creatine in the brain is actually being used up.

So that would make sense.

There's a lot more research that needs to be done in this area.

That's gonna make it really tricky, isn't it? I- if there's potentially value in older people taking it, but also at exactly that moment that, you know, the kidneys aren't working as well as they used to and all that kind of stuff, it needs to be done very delicately.

So knowing that information, again, practically, what should we be doing? I mean, I think apart from Twitter, they get all those comments back, don't they? They count as reviews.
