So did having a plan B make it easier to take those risks that maybe others are fearful of? And what would you tell an owner who was afraid of making the move?
11:03
Yeah.
11:04
A-absolutely.
11:04
And, and I think, uh, that fear and that anxiety and th-those concerns are a natural human, um, response, and they're healthy.
11:13
Like we've evolved, you know, by being, um, cautious about, you know, things, uh, and, and, and sort of being risk-averse in, in lots of ways.
11:21
So that's the first thing I think to understand, is that's a natural part of hu-human existence.
11:25
I would say that practitioners often, um, would have sometimes higher levels of anxiety, um, often, you know, uh, than, than, um, perhaps even the average population.

So looking back, how did bringing a coach, an accountant, and a lawyer help you and Bec? And how can a practice owner know when it's time to get outside advice?
11:05
Yeah.
11:06
So sometimes you see these kind of like almost like vanity metrics, you know, like people are looking at kind of size or they might even be looking at top line, like how much revenue, you know, a practice can generate.
11:18
But, you know, you can certainly boost your top line.
11:21
Yeah.
11:22
and be not profitable.
11:23
Like if, if you're, um, there's lots of reasons that can happen, but I think that's something that people don't, um, architect well sometimes is, you know, okay, what is it that I'm trying to build? What's meaningful to me? What does it, what, what does success look like? You know, does it mean I, I, See some clients, see a lot of clients, see no clients.
11:43
Does it mean I've got freedom to spend time with my kids? You know, one of the reasons I left, I used to work in the public health system, you know, for quite a few years, which is not sort of uncommon pathway into private practice.
12:32
But
13:23
Yeah
13:23
...
13:24
the system can, uh, be set so they can control.
13:26
So we have that.
13:27
Um, then we have the, the invoicing and financial side, and this is, is huge.
13:32
You know, when you think about, um, cashflow in a business, the same as blood circulating through, um, through the body.
13:39
You need not only enough of it, but you also need a flow, um, of, of money coming through, and you need that constant stream of, of, um, income, you know, coming in.

So I'm curious how, how you are or if you are incorporating AI into Xanda and, and what that looks like and, and, you know, maybe putting people's minds at ease about this.
