The biggest difference between the Cardale Jones year and this year is that that Ohio State team had a guy named Ezekiel Elliott.

They don't have a big-time go-to running back like they did back then.

I know.

He knows how to prepare you for the pros.

I mean, Jaxson Dart, you know.

But I never understood why Trinidad Shambles came back another year, unless it's, "Hey, I can't pass up $6 million," because I thought, "This guy is a first-round pick.

Now he's gonna be a top 10 pick." And I think Mel Kiper had five quarterbacks in his top 10 mock draft.

Johnny Keane says, "What do you guys think of Dalton Knecht's future in the NBA, and where would you like to see him end up? I am surprised Bruce Brown is not on a roster." Bruce Brown's an interesting one because his skill set is so unique.

It's nice to be, when you're an impact player like Bruce Brown, when you're having a positive impact, it's nice that you're good at things that are almost inverted from what people expect.

So he can rebound the ball, he can guard up.

This was the move I think everyone anticipated was coming if the Lakers weren't able to make a trade, and I guess it was too much to ask, Pete, for them to pull something off in the last minute.

But it's like, man, this was not...

They say like, "What's on your bingo card?" Or whatever.

If you would've told me after that game against the Jazz where he hit all those threes and Will Hardy after the game was like lambasting his team for being so stupid for letting Dalton Knecht go off.

If you would've told me after that game, "Hey, in a couple seasons this dude's gonna be out of the league and the Lakers are gonna waive him," I would've been like, "What are you talking about?"

I was so, I was so excited to see Ben Simmons play basketball this year.

Um, you know who else is looking for a job? Dalton Knecht, waived by the Lakers.

Uh, that's another guy.

Like, you can't just give up on these guys that, you know, were high draft picks a couple years ago.

Or, or the NBA's gotta start expanding.

The Lakers have waived former first-round selection Dalton Knecht.

Look, throw him in a Pistons jersey.

16 players under contract, needed to cut it down to 15, and the former number 17 selection in the 2024 draft after a standout junior year at the University of Tennessee gets cut.

Oh, boy.

Not good at all.

I don't know, maybe a little change of scenery there for Dalton Knecht.

The Bucs have waived Kevin Porter Jr. on Monday after a 25-26 season, which he led the team in assists per game and ranked second in scoring.

And also another brief note.

Dalton Knecht, so he just got waived by the Lakers.

And honestly, I see everyone saying, like, "What happened to him? He was supposed to be so good." Honestly, what happened to him was, like, he had his confidence shattered.

I mean, he gets traded away by the Lakers, the trade doesn't go through, and then, like, he has to come back to that same team.
