He was from Moneta, Wyoming, and he'd been jailed for a weapons charge at Englewood Federal Prison, located in Littleton, Colorado.

Dale's DNA had been submitted to CODIS years prior, after he'd been arrested for kidnapping a young family.

Their van broke down on the highway and they were forced to sleep in their vehicle when nobody would stop to help them.

The young couple were relieved when someone had finally pulled over, especially since the couple were running out of drinking water and were in an isolated location.

But Dale Wayne Eaton was not the friendly face they'd been looking for.
