Dale Clevenger

Former concertmaster, Steven Staryk, shines in Massenet, and cellist John Sharp takes on a thriller by Richard Strauss.

But in 1977, the CSO's horn section gave it a go with much success.

According to Gramophone magazine, "The Chicago horns show what can be done when a group of players really know each other's playing, as well as being virtuosos in their own right." Former principal horn Dale Clevenger is joined here by his colleagues Richard Oldburg, Thomas Howell, and Norman Schweikert.

This is the Konzertstück for four horns in F major by Schumann.
