Yeah.
Mike CabellonHOST
14:00
Uh, Tom made his Nordic crunch cookies, uh, based on the flavors of a Daim bar.
Mike CabellonHOST
14:06
Uh, I never know if it's Daim or Dame, so I kinda tried to split the difference.
Sierra KatowHOST
14:10
Yeah.
Sierra KatowHOST
14:10
I heard them say Daim.
Mike CabellonHOST
14:11
Yeah, okay.
Sierra KatowHOST
14:11
Because of his accent.
Mike CabellonHOST
14:13
Yeah.
CatherineHOST
3:02
So I said, fine, good for the goose, good for the gander.
CatherineHOST
3:05
I shall also make dime bar cookies.
CatherineHOST
3:08
And I found a recipe online because I don't think they...
CatherineHOST
3:11
Do you know, I didn't even look.
CatherineHOST
3:12
I don't think they've published all of the Baker's signature ones.
CatherineHOST
3:16
So I went for a recipe online and I...
CatherineHOST
3:21
Basically just Googled dime bar cookies.
CatherineHOST
3:24
And I ended up on a website called DonnaDundas.co.uk. Not
David AthertonHOST
13:19
And also, they might not like each other that much, and that's fine to be judges.
David AthertonHOST
13:22
Can I just say I did really like, and I don't understand why, so Nikki wasn't allowed to say the name of this chocolate bar in Australia that we've got no idea what it is, but Tom was allowed to say that his were Daim bar flavored.
Michael ChakravertyHOST
13:33
That's a good point.
Michael ChakravertyHOST
13:34
Yeah.
David AthertonHOST
13:34
And I love a Daim bar, and I loved the idea of his.
Michael ChakravertyHOST
13:38
Don't think I've had one.
David AthertonHOST
13:38
Have you not?
Sarah TaylorHOST
29:23
Tom did his...
Sarah TaylorHOST
29:25
Well, his cookies were called Nordic Crunch, and they were, uh, Daim bar inspired.
Sarah TaylorHOST
29:31
Now, if, if anybody doesn't know what Daim bar is, it's a sort of an almondy praline covered in chocolate, and that's exactly what he did, an almond praline with roasted peanuts and milk chocolate chunks.
Sarah TaylorHOST
29:42
And the judges thought they looked absolutely brilliant.
Sarah TaylorHOST
29:45
The flavors and textures were spot on, and that sweet and salty balance that Nigella's been talking about for the last couple of episodes was excellent as well.
Howard MiddletonGUEST
30:13
I thought, "That's a bit going off at a tangent."
Ian CummingGUEST
30:15
[laughs]
Howard MiddletonGUEST
30:16
And then, and then when I researched, actually the Daim bar originated in Sweden, not Norway.
Kit CostelloHOST
7:01
I wouldn't just directly talk about them.
Kit CostelloHOST
7:02
But, you know, like, I... it's more for me like i can pinpoint certain episodes in my life and i i refer back to me saying that this season's coming to an end it's because i feel as though in my life a certain season of my life is coming to an end like i do this podcast because i really really love it and i'm so honored that people have found the podcast and are listening to it and are enjoying that but to its core this podcast is me i don't use any ai in scripting the podcast i don't use ai to make up stories that i can tell it's all me and you you know this relationship is very pure and i'm so so proud of that and i would never want to dampen that relationship by selling my podcast my likeness my voice and my stories to ai for a company that's never gonna withstand my podcast like your startup will crash and burn peace and love it will and that's okay because that's what you got yourself into and when you start running around saying ai is destroying our lives i was the one sitting back telling you that it was doing that years ago babe and you were the one that was collecting the check acting as if you're turning a blind eye but when it starts taking your job don't come running to me because if you have the nerve to come and try and take my job from me and then you're complaining about your job being taken by ai in the future please up next major announcement dime latte chocolate bar i am looking for you story time so there i was drunk walking back to the train station and i popped into a corner shop there's a chocolate bar in the uk called dime bar which is basically like solid caramel covered in chocolate really like these i grew up on them i think they're my mum's favorite chocolate bar and i was in this corner shop and i was feeling a bit rushed for time chocolate bars all laid out in front of me and i saw the dime bar and i was about to pick it up and the next one i saw it had a cafe latte dime bar and i thought to myself well i'm drunk i've never tried this before let's try something new so i pick up the dime bar cafe latte flavored and i also pick up a I believe salted caramel Kit Kat and I walk myself to the station and I sit on the platform and I take a bite and my god this cafe latte dine bar was a sensation it was a duo pack so it had two in it and thank god because I was able to nibble on both anyway I finished them and mind you I'm drunk so every sensation is just heightened and ever since I've just been thinking about these dine bars and kind of subconsciously I've been going into corner shops when I've been picking up a chocolate and I've been thinking okay where's the dine bar cafe latte flavoured and I could never find it anyway I went into a corner shop the other day after having a conversation with someone about the Café Latte Dime Bar flavour.
Kit CostelloHOST
9:29
And I was like, oh, I wonder if I can I can find it and then maybe I can we can try it together.
Kit CostelloHOST
9:33
And I go to the corner shop and I say, oh, it's the same corner shop, by the way, because I had to I had to go back to the source.
LozHOST

...
LozHOST
42:21
Dime Bar, but they're called D-A-I-M now instead of Dime, which they used to be D-I-M-E.
LozHOST
42:29
Uh, they're great.
LozHOST
42:31
Um, trying to think what else.
