D-subminiature

The first type is unidirectional analog communication.

This is used to connect to EP recording systems via a custom-made cable, which the summary notes comes in two variants, D-Sub or Octopus.

That cable connects to an Advantech PCI-1713U analog-to-digital converter card integrated into the computer, which acquires the analog data, digitizes it, and transmits it to the software.

And the second type is bidirectional digital communication.

The reason we didn't put PROFIBUS on the Flex Plus is because it's very, um, tight space constraints inside that product, and the original design used, like, a five-way terminal connector, which is not, um, not easy to terminate on a site.

Um, PROFIBUS is designed to use Siemens DB9 plugs, and there's just not enough space to install that.

But on the Flex Pro, we've put a DB9 connector on there, so you can use the standard Siemens style DB9 connector used on PROFIBUS, and you can just plug it in like you would any other device.

So we've added that onto the Flex Plus.

Uh, and it's inside a slope, comes standard in a slope roof enclosure at the moment.

So this was for a com coming off an AllSport being converted to an on-air graphics thing.

So it's like a DB9.

It's DB9 to like a 25.

And I was like, oh, I haven't done one of these in forever.

So I whip it on the guys.

except for the stupid vaudeo adapter that would mix them up

oh did you need like the clear to send ready to send as well

yeah no one of the vaudeo adapters they used to they used to send the the RJ, or the network cable to DB9 adapter.
