Dr. Tanya T. Motsen, what do you think, you know, from your vantage point in San Jose? So let me

share just a little bit of our origin story.

Our campus was founded in 1875.

So we're coming up on 170 years, 1857, excuse me, coming up on 170 years.

Our first engineering program started in 1946. in a Quonsen hut, and the semiconductor industry sort of started with the invention in 1947 before the patent in 1950.

And our master's program in electrical engineering started around 1960, early 60s.

So we've been at the core of this industry in Silicon Valley, and we are the only public university in Silicon Valley.

What are you guys doing with Taiwanese universities and what has worked and what do you want to see more of?
