Nikkiana JonesHOST

But I also find it's the same thing with the Cycladic figurines, like, you know, the little ones, the little naked ladies who are like, kind of look like Easter Island things.
Nikkiana JonesHOST
18:43
um they always say those are fertility statues and i'm kind of going like is it just because it's a statue that has breasts because 50 of the world has breasts like it's it's kind of an interesting that just that it's a female figurine it therefore equals fertility it's kind of bizarre to me but yeah those little fat ladies um I feel bad calling them that, but they kind of are.

I know, but

Justin HinkleHOST

everything on that page is accurate it's also functionally the same information they already had in their 15 tabs the page lays out six options side by side and steps back they finish reading it with the exact question they arrived with which one should we do and there's nothing on the page that helps them answer it and no obvious next step besides a contact link in the footer so they close the tab and keep researching on their own Now, picture the same advisor, same expertise, but the page works differently.

It opens with something like, most first-time visitors try to see three or four islands in 10 days and spend half the trip on ferries.
Sophia PerperaGUEST
17:55
Because of the climate, it's very easy to get the grapes dry well under the sun, and they would make and they still make .
Sophia PerperaGUEST
18:03
Today, in many islands, in many areas, like in the Peloponnese, in northern Greece, in Crete, in the Cyclades Islands, in the Rimini, they still make wine.
Sophia PerperaGUEST
18:11
Samos, of course, the same way they would make them in the antiquity.
Lisa VigileoHOST

Either way, the charioteer who had made his victory possible was killed by his hand.
speaker_0NARRATOR
56:56
As Myrtilus fell, the stories say, he cursed Pelops and all his descendants, and the sea into which he fell was named after him, the Myrtoan Sea, the stretch of water between the Peloponnese and the islands of the Cyclades, to the south of Attica.
speaker_0NARRATOR
57:11
At least, that is what the stories said.
speaker_0NARRATOR
57:14
The ancient geographer Pausanias, ever careful, mentions that the people of Euboea had a different explanation for the name, connected with a woman called Myrto, and that he himself was inclined to believe them.
Katerina NicoleGUEST
16:59
I'm on a small island in Mykonos.
Katerina NicoleGUEST
17:01
Actually, it's the biggest island in the Cyclades, but there's no metal scene.
Katerina NicoleGUEST
17:06
In Athens, I haven't explored too much.
Katerina NicoleGUEST
17:09
So I'm pretty much away from it a lot of the time, which does make it hard.
Tiz CavetzaHOST
3:36
Is there anything that's distinctive to you, that sings to you, that's uniquely Rhodes?
Jamie JacksonGUEST
3:42
Yes, I think it does have a very different vibe than the Cycladic Islands.
Jamie JacksonGUEST
3:46
It's not the whitewashed kind of buildings.
Jamie JacksonGUEST
3:49
It has a more, it has some Eastern influence to it.
Tiz CavetzaHOST
4:44
How would you say, from your experience, and Adam, you can also answer as well, how does Rhodes pair naturally with the other islands in mainland Greece?
Jamie JacksonGUEST
4:54
I think that Rhodes and Crete are a good combination and kind of similar type options as well, that each are a little bit different, but kind of have a similar feel that you could easily combine those because they are close together.
Jamie JacksonGUEST
5:09
But then you could also, if you wanted to do one vibe of this island chain and a vibe of the Cycladic islands, you can do that as well.
Jamie JacksonGUEST
5:17
And of course, we always love mainland Greece, so you could start or end in Athens too.
Sarah JanesGUEST
27:31
And I've just run a retreat.
Sarah JanesGUEST
27:32
I ran a pilgrimage where we went to some of the places where it the Zudokos Piggy churches on the small Cycladic Islands and various other places that are associated with this water of life, because it's a big theme in Orthodox churches, also in the Greek, the ancient Greek traditions, as well as this idea of the water of memory or this sort of life giving water.
Sarah JanesGUEST
27:54
So I've had this dream that I'm searching for the water of life and I find the water of life in various situations.
Sarah JanesGUEST
28:00
It can sometimes be in a pyramid shaped spa i'm very into spas in a zoroastrian fire temple like it could be anything but basically in in some of the dreams i managed to drink the water and when i do it has this curative effect like it's it changes my consciousness i think in a lucid dream because if you drink or eat something lucid dream you anticipate that some sort of change is going to occur it acts as this agent of transformation and we were talking on the last retreat actually about how You know, when I was little, I was very philosophical when I was little and I wanted to know the secret of life or the secret of the universe.
Conrad FranzHOST

These would be Libyan waters, and then those would be Turkish waters.
Conrad FranzHOST
31:36
Again, this completely cuts out Greek waters off the coast of Crete and the Cyclades, as well as certain Cypriot economic access waters.
Conrad FranzHOST
31:48
And of course, Egypt is obviously going to be directly interfered with from the Libyan perspective here.
Conrad FranzHOST
31:53
So that is... uh this is a major update we've been covering this for a few weeks now whether or not this is going to happen and it has obviously our good buddy chris over the holy wisdom has been covering this We've been discussing how in the next few weeks, potentially December seems most likely, Erdogan will be visiting Libya for the fourth Turkish-African summit, all three of which before Erdogan has attended in person.

After breakfast, we boarded one of the ship's tenders for the short journey ashore.
RobHOST
18:08
With the Morella Discovery anchored offshore, the tender was our gateway to exploring one of the most famous and picturesque islands in the Cyclades.
RobHOST
18:17
Once ashore, Mandy and I set off to discover the town on foot, and it didn't take long before we found ourselves wandering through Mykonos' famous maze of narrow streets and winding alleyways.
RobHOST
18:29
The island certainly lived up to its reputation.
