R

Anyway, but what – Cyberpunk asks that question of humanity is like, you know, is it copy consciousness the same as that person? And it gives you lots of different – viewpoints on that subject so if you're hearing us talk about cyberpunk 2077 and you're like why are they going on about this it's because that core question and if that question interests you definitely go play the games it's a very good game
A

Jacob's Ladder (1990)
Z
11:39ZeroHOST
It was interesting because it taught me a couple of things about like, it made me think of Tron a little bit.
Z
11:47ZeroHOST
Because the concept that made me want to tie this into Cyberpunk was the idea of time dilation.
Z
11:55ZeroHOST
there's right.
Z

So when, when Flynn gets pulled into the computer, that whole fucking thing, that whole movie takes place in like three seconds, you know, it's because like at scale things move faster, et cetera, et cetera.

Kind of gonk they're blaming the Merc and not the sloppy fixer for the deets getting leaked.
B
28:45BugHOST
This literally does sound like a plot line that you just encountered in Cyberpunk.
M
28:49MossHOST
Yeah, although the thing is Cyberpunk at least has the foresight to have names that are better than iRhythm.
B
28:55BugHOST

right and and again like that that concept trailer that they put out um in the wake of this closure um i mean yeah cool concept look really cool um look like an interesting direction to take that to take the franchise um i think if we go into the post office um uh was there a question about this about that maybe not i thought there i thought there was um or no johnny johnny asked me offline um whether like if you and I took that extra hard because obviously like it's oh it's our favorite it's our favorite game series matched up with our favorite like action genre where it looked like it was like a spy game I'm like yeah man that would have been that would have been really interesting to see how that played out um would have been interesting to see if like Liara was still the shadow broker if that you know played into the gameplay in any way shape or form with how you identified uh like targets and stuff like that and and kind of went along would have been interesting to see how free form it was um According to them, they were going to be taking a lot of inspiration from a lot of today's top games like Baldur's Gate 3 and like Cyberpunk and kind of like some of the ways that it would allow you to express yourself in the gameplay and things of that nature.
B
23:00BradHOST
So yeah, on paper, it sounded like a really neat pitch.
B
23:07BradHOST
It's just a shame that EA is not a publisher that cares about stuff like that anymore.

M

I did notice a lot of really low upward facing shots, especially in like the alleyways in the back.
D
