Steve Klebe started out selling security cameras to banks and got into payments because the woman who became his wife ran Reg E department at Wells Fargo.

Since then, he's left to market Verifone, CyberCash, Cybersource, PassMark, Google Pay, Stripe, to name a few.

And today, he's retired, sits on boards, angel invests, and my favorite, corrects people on LinkedIn for sport.

In his words, it's now his job to keep it real.

And I'm going to just kind of riff through some of them.

The first was CyberCash, which was essentially a safe way to pay online.

And they had what's called a cyber coin for shoppers to use instead of credit cards.

And then there was First Ventral, which built one of the first online payment systems and was essentially designed so you never had to use your online credit card again and the number.
