The aldermanic letter follows a separate letter sent by another frequent critic of Johnson's, State Representative Curtis Tarver.

A spokesperson for WBC said they received Tarver's letter and are, quote, working diligently to respond by Tarver's deadline of September 9th and defended the advertising as part of a, quote, broader economic development agenda of the agency's Chicago 2050 development strategy rolled out last November.
