Curtis Stigers

Let's play our third selection here.

This is Curtis Stigers with What's So Funny About Peace, Love, and Understanding.

I ask myself, is all hope lost? Is there only pain and hatred and misery? And each time I feel like this inside, there's one thing I want to know.

What's so funny about a piece of love I don't understand? Oh, what's so funny about a piece

Nick Lowe's amazing.

Um, but this is a cover by a jazz singer.

Um, uh, this Curtis Stigers and, uh, where's my, where's my little story here that I, that I mentioned here.

So, um, So it's a version of Nick's big early, early days hit by Curtis Stigers, who also used it as a B-side to his single, Sleeping With The Lights On, from his eponymous debut, which had been released the previous year.

And a while ago, I was doing a mid-morning show on ITV.

I'm sitting there, and Curtis Stigers is led in.

Yeah? And he looks at me, he goes, but he swears, he goes, and you, man, you...

I go, wow.
