Cursed Totem

Yeah, there was a Gorius versus Brute Scale feature match, and the Gorius player ended up losing, and it looked like they completely boarded out the combo because if you looked at the sideboard there was enough cards to board in and i don't think we saw a single goras or tracksaw in in game two is is that your current plan in that matchup is just conquer just every every sideboard like enough sideward card and board up me you know almost all of the combo

Yeah, that was my plan even before I was playing cards like Conqueror or Cursed Totem, whichever one.

I think the combo is a little bit too fragile there.

It's so hard to jockey the combo against stuff like Causalex Command, I think, specifically.

Like, you know, blue farm playing Lavinia because all of their combos are like, you know, two cost cards.

Uh, You know, Blue Farm playing, going just like the attacker route, no activated abilities, playing Cursed Totem.

I mean, Tibbet has pretty much always played that Cursed Totem.

And Grafdiggers.

Yeah.

And this is a great hand for seat 4.

The Cursed Totem is pretty good against Crystal, very bad against the Chroms.

I'm not in any hurry to get that down.

The Lavinia is pretty nice here.

My plan here, of course, is just turn one, Ancient Tomb Signet, and then I'm holding up an Aurum's Chant that I really hope I don't need to use, but I don't have any free counter spells, so if someone tries to push on turn two... which, again, I don't think anyone will do in this pod.

I'm ready to weigh in there.

And then on turn three, or on turn two, rather, I'll be able to play the Attacro Waste and probably cast T'Challa, though I have the ability to cast Loran instead, or depending on what I draw, maybe Lavinia and Cursed Totem or Lavinia and something else.

So, yeah, this would be a pod that I'd be happy with and a hand that I'd be happy with.

So I was looking at that deck and I think there's a lot of really smart things there.

Like the Rex Sage so that you actually have a way to kill Cursed Totem made a lot of sense to me.

But also I think it's supposed to be there's, I can't remember the name of it, but there's a Changeling that is Rex Sage.

And I kind of feel like you're supposed to play that because you're also a Grist deck.

And if I can sit there with one of my like 30 silver bullets in my hand that aren't counter spells and then hope I can stop the win con and just let this stuff churn and churn and let everyone cannibalize themselves, I can get to a really strong position of where I want to be.

Yeah, and Cursed Totem is so strong right now.

I have six of them.

Deafening Silence, Grafdigger's Cage, Blind Obedience, Cursed Totem, Damping Sphere, and Weathered Runestone.

So Grafdigger's Cage, Cursed Totem, and Weathered Runestone all basically don't affect me.

Cursed Totem turns off Fairy Mastermind and any creatures that I end up stealing.

Grafdigger's Cage and Weathered Runestone... turn off exactly flash photography.

I'm not even playing Savines.

So to account for that, we have Weathered Rainstone, Damping Sphere.

Damping Sphere, to some extent, mostly that's true.
