Once you know something well, you cannot accurately imagine what it is like to not know it.

You skip the translation.

You're like, well, of course it's not because I'm trying to talk to people that don't have the background.

Like this is that classic curse of knowledge where everyone assumes everyone knows what they must know.

And then what you see is like, you must guys want to see this all the time with your marketing background, but like professionals trying to talk to patients, like they would talk if they were talking to another professional.

And so the patient has no idea what's going on, but these are those posts that get all these like thumbs up and like, yes, queen comments from other professionals.

And what you're describing is one of the most rigorously documented phenomena in behavioral science.

It's called the curse of knowledge.

Which is such a dramatic phrase.

I love it.

But the mechanics behind it, they're actually quite literal, aren't they?

Oh, it is a physiological reality.
