Let's talk curling.

It's a really cool thing that happens every year, the Curl for a Cause event at the Victoria Curling Club.

It's coming back, and we've got the program coordinator, Paul Cheka, joining us in studio to get us in the loop about everything we need to know.

Paul, you're in the studio.

So I get really excited.

And I know there's lots of excitement in the curling world and beyond because of the Olympics that just happened.

And then also Victoria hosted the Grand Slam of Curling.

We were in Gander and then we left there and went to Cornerbrook and Now we're here in Southern Ontario.

We're going to be doing Burlington tonight, Sarnia on Saturday, Huntsville on Sunday, and then back Toronto at the Leaside Curling Club on Monday.

So it's going to be a busy, busy run.

Now, even Mr. Brunt here was joining you in Newfoundland, right?

And then you hope to God that fog doesn't come in or a snowstorm, which is quite frequent, where you get stuck.

And, you know, I was telling a story yesterday.

We were at the Granite Curling Club.

And during the pandemic, or just before the pandemic, I should say, we had a huge snowstorm in St. John's that is affectionately known as Snowmageddon, where we had 96 centimeters in my community.

The game wouldn't be what it is today.

And that's what we're trying to create with the Curling Group and the Rock League.

And that's why people like David are so important to see that dream, to see the...

The business side of things to create that, to bring exposure to those athletes and to create revenue based around it is fantastic.

And that's why people want to go.

And then you add the third layer, which is really the media deal.

So the Curling Group just announced part of our thesis as we got in was announcing 300 plus hours of content on CBC in Canada on an annual basis.

CBC is investing not just for, you know, in the short term, but it's actually a five year deal replacing Canada Hockey Night in Canada on many of the programs up there.
