Cupronickel

They all come from the Latin currentia, meaning running.

My favorite is that nickel comes from the German Kupfernickel, meaning copper goblin or copper devil, after miners found nickel ore, which is copper-colored ore that yields no copper.

And nickel, as we know and have talked about in many episodes, has long been a nickname for the devil or a demon, also seen in pumpernickel, the devil's fart bread.

It just takes every possible opportunity to mention the etymology of pumpernickel.
