But now it's, like, more bookstore.

And the exterior facade is completely unique.

It is a lattice of interlocking white T shapes, which serves as a subtle structural nod to the Tsutaya brand, the massive books and media enterprise that operates the site.

The exterior is a marvel of modern branding disguised as architecture.

It really is.

There's this little coffee shop there.

And it's called Tsutaya, I think was the name.

I think it was Tsutaya.

And if you ever go to Takayama, I mean, you probably will if you ever come to Japan as a tourist because it's one of the famous places where people love to explore the old-fashioned kind of the streets there.
