I'll search it out and see if I can give myself it, but first... i'll do my number two sure my number two is a continuation of things from that playlist i mentioned uh and it's a song and again i'm wondering if you remember this one it's a song called mr vein by culture bead i definitely don't by title okay um we don't have a clip of that one but maybe you could pop it on your phone while i'm talking and see if i'm googling mr v yeah it's v-a-a-i-n oh at least i think anyway i don't know that i i'm pretty sure anyway um so that's another that's like an iconic house song from 1993 it's by a german dj group called culture beat uh it had it had pretty like worldwide success it went to number one in 19 different countries not america but i think america was a little less hot on this sort of music than everybody else um in a retrospective article on german pop the guardian wrote quote culture beats glorious mr vane with its rollicking beat diva vocals and stilted rapping comes as close as anything to summarizing the spirit of the genre And in an article called the ABCs of Eurodance, a Finnish broadcaster said, quote, if someone could look up the archetypal Eurodance hit song in an encyclopedia, there'd probably be a link to an audio file for Mr. Vane.

A song that more than anyone else came to define 90s dance music.

And yeah, that's kind of, I mean, that kind of says it all.
