I want to end with something Wittgenstein wrote in Culture and Value, a collection of his notes and remarks published posthumously that I find more practically useful than most philosophical aphorisms.

He wrote, The philosopher is someone who must cure himself of many sicknesses of the understanding before he can arrive at the notions of the sound human understanding.

The sicknesses of the understanding are the misleading pictures, the false analogies, the grammatical confusions that generate the apparent problems.
