And it was, um, but you'd drive east to Athens and get on 65 there, or you could get downright Pythagorean and cross the river into Colbert County and go down 43 until it intersected with Alabama 157, and Alabama 157 would take you down the hypotenuse of that triangle to roughly Cullman.

And it is now a lovely four-lane highway, state highway.
