Cullen Scott

He's reclassified.

Ben Badler broke that story over at baseballamerica.com and explained in it, kind of Cullen Scott explained that, hey, he wants to be a two-way player.

That's kind of one of the reasons for this is as he goes through the recruiting process, He thinks of himself as a pitcher and a hitter, and he wants to do both, and he wants to do both in college.

So he's kind of indicating, doesn't mean he won't get drafted, but kind of indicating strong possibility of him going to school, uncommitted right now because he was a 28, and the 28 contact period started not that long ago.

about to say he the joke the running joke on future projection with me and ben is that ben wants every player to be a two-way player now and for eternity and i want them all to pick a side but I feel like for Cullen Scott last weekend at Under Armour was an excellent showcase of his actual talent on both sides of the ball because we were watching him in batting practice and I'd say in a park that seems to favor lefties for just showing off power, Cullen Scott, right-handed hitter, showed maybe some of the best raw power that we saw.

He's this big, physical, 6'3", 225-pound kid who just generates a lot of raw power with a ton of ease.

Like you mentioned, he's touched 100 miles per hour on the mound in this game.

He was one of the all-stars for the Roses team.

And then on the Pearls team side, a pitcher slash first baseman, Cullen Scott, was getting up to 98 on the mound and then had three knocks in the game.

So tremendous game from them.

The Pearls came back to win.

... relatively recently to be in the, uh, 2027 class instead of '28, but at the same time was part of, you know, as one of the younger guys there-

... are you surprised at all to not see him as maybe a two-way guy on this?

Um, I'm not necessarily sure.

I mean, Cullen Scott obviously has really impressive stuff.

I think his outing in phase two this past week maybe pushed him out of consideration, um, or at least m- maybe made it easier to take some of the players who threw more strikes than he did.
