Cuisenaire rods

I wanna figure this out.

And again, I probably am not ideal 'cause I didn't have an aversion, but I got introduced to Cuisenaire Rods and Gotagno's method for helping kids play with the Cuisenaire Rods.

And so I was playing with the rods to build these patterns out, and my kids thought they were just toys.

So they would build elaborate structures with the rods, and we were just looking at the relationship between the red one and the yellow one and the bro- we didn't put numbers on-

They don't bring it out any other time, and sometimes they'll rotate things out of it and put new things in it so it's always something fresh and new and interesting for that little kid to play with while mom has to work with the older kids.

Some of the other things I know, Kim, you said, I know you worked with Cuisenaire rods-

My son-

... a lot, like-

... yes.

Like, honestly, that's how he got really good at math was...

And not me doing direct instruction with Cuisenaire rods.

Yeah.
