CSI: NY

A lot of people choose TV actors for, I mean, soap opera stars are a big one.

But I know my friend Amy, her daughter Aiden, was named after Aiden on CSI New York.

And about, you know, discovering crime and stuff.

And her daughter Aiden wants to be a PI.

My guest today is award-winning actor and philanthropist Gary Sinise.

You likely know him from CSI: New York or Apollo 13 or Forrest Gump.

He's also a musician, and in 2011, he established the Gary Sinise Foundation to help support and advocate for veterans.

Gary's son, McCanna Anthony Sinise, who was also known as Mac, was an avid drummer and worked with Gary at the foundation.

Mm-hmm.

CSI, CSI Miami, CSI New York, Law & Order.

That's, I mean, that's how it happens.

I, I've been doing it for 30, 30-plus years, and I've been very fortunate.

We, you know, nine years on CSI: New York, and then we just finished with, uh, SEAL Team.

Uh, did eight years on that.

So he'd give you sides from a real show.

So let's say it's like CSI New York, which wasn't even a show back then, but I'm pulling that out of my ass.

But he'd say, hey, here's two pages from an episode of CSI New York.

Take a look at them.

And I'll tell you what, the actor who actually did this on the show, he made this interesting choice, and he would tell a story every time.

I was down in Florida with, uh, Rob O'Neill and a couple of their seals, uh, shooting some content.

I recently just met up with some old buddies of mine, like from, uh, CSI: New York, and I was like, "Oh, this is..." We're like, we were in Nashville 'cause we were here, we were here for the G- Gary Sinise Foundation.

And we're like, you know, and we used to like go out, out.

You know, that was our thing.

Enough said.

Yo, listen, that's like when CSI got CSI Miami, CSI New York, and then CSI Cyber.

Yeah.

They canceled Miami, even though Miami was the highest rated one of all of them.

Gary Sinise was Lieutenant Dan in the Forrest Gump movies.

He was on CSI New York for nine years.

He has the Lieutenant Dan Band, which tours America, doing so much for our veterans.

And he was in Milwaukee this weekend.
