Crying Child

I think the reason a lot of people think that Charlotte died before the MCI is there's just more room in the timeline.

You know, The Crying Child dies in 1983, as far as we're aware, at Fredbear's.

But if Charlotte dies at a Freddy's, then we have pretty much any time before or after 1983.

Pretty much any time between 1983 and 1985.

So there is evidence to say it either way.

I think my answer to your question would be I think it's more likely Charlotte dies before the MCI for timing reasons and for her knowing how spiritual stuff kind of works by the time of the MCI.

um for logic reasons like that and also like you mentioned the the the real world logic of like the first murder being sloppy and the other ones being more severe um and also the idea of william afton doing it after the death of the crying child as like a retaliance you know like you you And again, this isn't getting into will care.

Don't get on my ass about it.

Yeah, it's a poster that's got, like, a man with a ventriloquist dummy, a, like, bear, and then a dancing clown.

So the interpretation is that the man is William Afton, the dummy is Michael, the bear is the crying child, and the clown is Elizabeth.

I think that's a valid interpretation.

I agree with that interpretation, but it is speculation, just to be clear.

The crying child bear claws make me think of the stomach mouth on Nightmare Freddy slash Fredbear, which to be fair, looking at the poster, totally see it.

The hands are like here.

So the claws are right where the stomach mouth would be.

It also made me think about how Crying Child's striped shirt is two straight lines, which could be interpreted as a closed mouth.

So our first one comes from Percy, he/him.

That is definitely up there.

'Cause I mean, I myself have said it too, [laughs] you know? That, that's one of the more common ones where, like, the game just previous established this whole like, oh, water will set the springlocks off, and when the springlock's off, everything snaps shut.

So like, uh, we got this whole bunch of information, and then the next game, the Crying Child is sobbing with his head being put into the jaw of Fredbear, and it snaps shut.

So like, I think that's honestly a perfect encapsulation of where a lot of these misconceptions come from.

Because FNaF is such, like, a, a eclectic series where all the information is so d- disparate and spread out and just hard to get a good grasp on anything solid, when we see connections like this, where, where like the last game we just got told that water makes springlocks snap shut, and the next game we see a lot of water going into the mouth of an animatronic who has springlocks.

TLDR, the vengeful spirit is different than the one you should not have killed.

And I think the vengeful spirit is the crying child, while the one you should not have killed is the puppet.

So I am aware this is out there, but the idea is inspired from the FNAF 2 movie.

Basically, the idea is that the crying child, I'll call them Dave because that's what I think their name is, same.

had his happiest day and could move on but wanted to help charlie help others for as long as he could in the movies the golden freddy kid was the one keeping william trapped until he couldn't anymore and ultimate custom knight is ultimately keeping william trapped to my knowledge none of the lines explicitly say anything about vengeful spirit being the one he should not have killed instead vengeful's goal seems to be keeping william trapped for as long as possible Why? Well, if Charlie Slash the Puppet is still around, the goal might be to keep William trapped and out of the way while she tries to free as many people as possible, similar to what the Stitch Wraith does at the end of his story.

It also explains why Puppet specifically speaks with their real voice instead of the animatronics like everyone else, and even Puppet's other real- other...

But it came down to the idea that the last thing you see in Ultimate Custom Night is Golden Freddy's twitching exoskeleton.

So, in my brain...

This motif being last heard in Sister Location's Demolition Inevitable track, that played behind Mike's speech as well, which it being the Toreador March motif also directly connects it to FNAF 1 Mike as well.

But moving on and before we get to Henry's plan coming to fruition, after beating the opening minigame, which actually symbolises the death count in FNAF, Round 1 showcasing an ungrouped 3 representing Charlie, the Crying Child and Elizabeth.

Round 2 showcasing 5 children representing the 5 MCI.

And then finally round 3 showcasing another 5 children for the 5 DCI, for a final on screen count of 13.

What is Midnight Motorist actually telling us? A mystery that in itself solves the entire original timeline, by answering what the death order of Elizabeth, the crying child, and Charlie really is.

And therefore, what William Afton's motivations within the story, from start to finish, really are.
