Cruz Lucius

I'm really excited to watch him.

Cruz Lucius sent down as well.

So Cruz and McQueen will start the season in San Diego.

I'm fine with it.

So it sounds like Luno has been temporarily kind of in a more, a paper way, uh, to shed some room, uh, has been sent down.

Cruz Lucius, I believe has been the player that has been called up.

I, uh,

My best guess, and I follow a few duck beat reporters, and they kind of had the same assumption that I did, that it's just to kind of temporarily clear just a little bit of cap space for the Anaheim Ducks.

So it's actually... been pretty tricky with all the exodus of what they have had.

They did trade for Cruz Lucius.

I'm not sure that's very exciting or really all that interesting.

And they swapped Sasha Pasterjav for Sean Farrell, both guys who I think are kind of tweeners.

I'm going to just start with the cuts so far.

So, so far assigned to San Diego has been Matt Pascal, Damian Clara, Colson Petrie, Ethan Procession, Igor Sidorov, Connor Smith, and Hermann Traff, along with Cruz Lucius, Lucas Pedersen, and Anton Wahlberg.

So out of those ones that have just been straight to assign to San Diego, I do want to talk about a couple names.

Anton Wahlberg really impressed me last week at the game against the Sharks when I was at the game.

I liked his play.

Face-offs he needs to work on, but I feel like he really held his own and he played well.

And then Cruz Lucius is another one that really impressed me.

um and now these he was the guy they just picked up that that long ago right cruz lucius he was the one that we traded from pittsburgh for future considerations he was um a college um prospect out of asu

I don't care who you're playing, Kyle, you do not wanna lose 10 to nothing.

I totally get it, but I, I mean, for the James Hamblins, the Sean Farrells, the Cruz Lucius of the world, they were, that was a tall task for them to try to handle [laughs] that San Jose lineup.

So o-

Despite their best efforts

I think we're going to finally see kind of a true mix of guys whose roster spots on the team are not in jeopardy and maybe one or two guys that are pushing to make the team.

I would love to see Cruz Lucius in this game.

I would love to see Roger McQueen in game number three.

Would love to see Leo again, but I think the Leo, the Cutters...

I do it.

I'm hoping to see Colangelo again.

I'm hoping to see, you know, Cruz Lucius get his chance.

I'm really hoping to see Vetrano.

You see where this is going? I'm a little...

I shouldn't say surprised, maybe more a little bummed that Cruz Lucius is on that team, black team.

From what I saw at the open practice, I thought he was really strong defensively.

I thought his speed was right up there with what it needs to be to be in the NHL.

That seems like the opening night roster.

Whereas Team Black, maybe a few more guys.

Sidorov, right? Kurtz, Clara, Baskall, Farrell, Traff, Cruz Lucius.

Those are kind of the guys that are... that are clawing their way to try and get into game number two of the preseason.

And then just, and it was like in typical Ducks fashion, they let in the first shot.

But, you know, Cruz Lucius and Kosick supplied Anaheim's goals while goaltender Damian Clara made 24 saves on 31 shots.

taylor mccarr opened the scoring at 304 wait taylor mccarr mccarr yeah yeah that's kale mccarr's younger brother he's in the colorado avalanche system right now um and then so he opened the scoring and then beckett hamilton doubled colorado's lead at 7 11 the ducks responded less than a minute later with lucius scoring at 804 mark offices from mathis preston and lucas petterson His goal cut the deficit 2-1, but Matt DiMarzico restored Colorado's two-goal cushion at 10-43.

And then Anaheim faced a steeper climb when Sean Carrier scored at the 2-47 mark in the second period to make it 4-1.
