For those of you who don't know, in the 90s, Pioneer, using the Ocean dub, the original dub actors with the new Goku, Peter Kalamas, They dubbed the first three movies, Dead Zone, World's Strongest Tree of Might, released them on video for all of us to buy and enjoy.

And then several years later, once Funimation took over in-house, they started reproducing the movies and continuing forth.

And their first one that they did was this movie.

And this was at the height, when this movie came out, this was at the height of Dragon Ball Z mania.

I was just like...

I just thought it was weird.

This movie, if you watch the original Funimation dub, it's got licensed music from the band Disturbed in it.

I think it might have a Deftones song in it.

Yeah, reincarnated as a sword season two season premiere just dropped out.

What else we got here? We got, I believe, Crunchyroll streams English dub for The Prince of Tennis 2 Samurais, the first game.

it's definitely uh it's fascinating i love the show It was one of the first ones to come out, like, recently that I, like, and I literally just watched it on a whim, too, just because Crunchyroll kept advertising at the time.

But I do think there is unfortunately a difference between like, I think people are used to watching adult animation at home, but there's a difference between like watching a new Rick and Morty adjacent show on Hulu or anime they're familiar with on Crunchyroll than going out to a theater to pay $13 to see Wildwood.

Another thing, I certainly agree with the whole animation is a medium, not a genre, yada, yada, yada.

Okay, so this is weird.

So on Friday they announced that English dub episodes 41 through 45 would be out and Crunchyroll available tomorrow.

Is this the first batch of beat break dub episodes that they announced a day ahead of time? Ignoring the first batch which were announced a few days ahead of time.

Have any of them since batch one actually been formally announced before the day of? Huh.

But it will be read with great enthusiasm.

Story 7 is dub corner, and Crunchyroll had a busy weekend, because the English dub wave is absolutely rolling right now.

The horror collector English dub premiered Saturday, October 24th, with Brandon Alan Magella leading as Fushigi, the red-hooded kid who collects urban legends that have come to life.

The Togen Anki Niko Kagon Falls arc dub also started streaming on Crunchyroll this weekend, so Shiki's Bloody Oni vs. Momotaro War is now fully dub accessible.

And on Sunday, Crunchyroll revealed English dub casts for full clearing Another World Under a Goddess with Zero Believers and two more titles.

Plus, the Iceblade Sorcerer Season 2 dub is now streaming too.

Dub fans are eating so well this season that the old subs versus dubs war is basically just two people yelling in an empty room while everyone else presses play.

Story 8 is a gentle one because My Happy Marriage dropped its Season 2 special episodes on Netflix on Sunday, October 25th as part of Netflix's October romance lineup.

Green Yuri looks amazing.

But one thing that is, you know, what we're telling our clients and what, you know, other publishers are telling their clients, what Netflix and Crunchyroll and all them are very cognizant of is production values matter way more to overseas fans than they do in japan and so we're seeing like just a lot more money and time poured into individual anime series than you would expect especially based off of like the budgets for shows have gone up too it's not like i'm seeing the numbers right like for a lot of tv shows they are the trajectory is very interesting

the essentials collection so they could justify a lower msrp back when that mattered to people long story about that but there's a big it's supposed to come with the Funimation digital sticker right so the Funimation digital copies stopped working in 2021 people got really mad at Crunchyroll slash Funimation for this because they basically did what you know since like Prime has done a bunch of times, and Sony basically did for a ton of movies people bought on the Sony store or PlayStation store, right? Where the digital items you bought and allegedly owned forever were taken away due to rights issues or licensing issues.

And that's, to me, really messed up.
