Like you're going to tutor it and then just cast it as a kill spell.

We've seen with Crude Bent Blade, the two mana for plus two plus one is really strong.

That's a really strong rate for an equipment.

I think this card is very versatile.

Uh, [laughs] somehow it had just, like, three incredible removal spells at common.

Crude Bent-Blade was, you know, just co- completely costed incorrectly.

Obviously, there are ways to make that card more playable, three to equip, plus one plus one, whatever you wanna do with that card.

But because it was so strong, because it was better than basically almost all the uncommons, it completely warped the format where even on turn two, you're thinking about what you play because of the existence of this common.

And that's because o- a- a lot of, some of the issues that this format had where, you know, a color imbalance or, or, uh, an outlier here or there will just completely kind of warp the format.

And so I'm so happy that we are moving away from these small sets.

Yeah, and like you said, I mean, this set actually had both of those, right? It had, you know, a, a big miss on Crude Bent-Blade, and it also had a color imbalance with black and, and to a lesser extent, red really dominating, and there's no way for it to correct.

It also means, you know... 'Cause the interesting thing is, I think sometimes, you know, like Luis and I on the show will talk about how, uh, the, the limitations of only focusing on five color pairs rather than having access to the full 10, right? That automatically sets you up with a much smaller range of things that can happen, and therefore, uh, mistakes get amplified in that way as well.
