This is part of the sheer complexity of this case that is just baffling, isn't it?

And then once the jury is in place, and that will be 12 jurors deliberating, the barrister for the Crown Prosecution Service will open the case and lay out in detail the charges against Brandt.

And the defence will also have their say too.

And then various witnesses will be called.
