Crème de cassis

That's my favorite drink is a Cure Royale, which is actually champagne and Cassis.

Which, if you are unfamiliar, is crème de cassis and champagne.

But because of that, this was the one I had the highest expectations for, and it was the one that I was most excited about.

And would you believe, on blotter, it was actually the one that I gravitated towards least.

Why? Because I felt like this scent gave me all of that beautiful, sparkling, black currant effervescence that I was seeking, but none of that dry wine smell.

And I love that dry wine smell.

When I smell a Kir Royale or when I taste a Kir Royale, I think what I love most about it is that contrast of a sweeter crème de cassis against a dry champagne.

And when you hear from Kilian shortly, you will learn that that was a very intentional choice, which again reiterates that perfume taste is taste.
