Credit history

So let's say someone confirms that they're eligible, they want to move forward.

Where do they start? Especially if you don't have years of credit history built up.

Because I feel like when I moved here five years ago, that was the first thing someone slammed on me.

It was like, yo, no credit history? Don't even go and buy a home.

It's tough if you have no credit history.

That is 100% true.

That being said, there's ways around it.

One other thing I just wanted to touch on when we're looking at capacity, obviously you've got what the asset is you're buying, so banks take into consideration your savings.

But one of the big ones is your credit history.

And a lot of people don't consider that.

So every time you apply for finance, whatever it is, and even if you're applying for mobile phones, it goes on your credit file.
