It's a tough one, isn't it? Because I feel for the Chagossians, and there are, what, something like 3,500 of them in Britain? There's a huge community of islanders in Crawley, I think it is.

And they're looking on at this.

And the town I live in, Crawley, right next to Gatwick Airport, that's, you know, the result of it.

I mean, this town has boomed from like 18,000 residents when my parents first lived here.

I'm the Deputy Head of the Mill Primary Academy in Crawley.

We're a three-form entry primary school and a part of the Chemnals Academy Trust.

And, yeah, like Colburn, my role is to lead the attendance team and to lead on that strategic thought as opposed to sort of the day-to-day element of it.

He's a young businessman, an engineer according to Mrs. Miller, who sometimes shares a table at the hotel dining room with Bannerman.

There are very few restrictions on house building here in the sense of constraints.

So Crawley and Brighton, you can't build there very easily because there's no space.

Mid-Sussex, you can't build on 40% of that because it's an area of natural beauty.

So that's got restrictions on it.

So I get that.

On the other hand, one could say the trouble is that one person, the whole of Sussex, is she will come from a party, whereas Sussex has got all kind of, you know, this live down to stronger here, there, wherever there are greens, you know, it's a, it's a patchwork, a very diverse patchwork.

Like in Horsham, we've never had a Labour member of the district council, but Crawley is heavily Labour, so we're only three miles apart.

Are you going to lose that separate identity on diversity, rather, with a single mayor having to represent it all? But again, on the positive side, I think the things that a mineral authority could do really well are transport and the economy.

This is my fourth race, yeah.

I did Oxford last year, UK Champs in May, and then Crawley a few weeks ago.

And did you have a podium goal, or did you have a placement goal? No,

definitely not today, but just was, yeah, pleased to go out with a fast wave, and just held on, really, until the second half, and felt like I, yeah, felt a bit stronger on the upper body, and yeah.
