Crawford County

Maybe I should have known this, but I didn't.

There'll be about an 1,800-foot bridge that will cross what's called Flat Rock Creek there in that Kibler Bottoms area in Crawford County.

But the project also is first of four phases.

Phase two is next.

We need a larger jail.

Immigration enforcement would also see action to our south as the Crawford County Quorum Court in Van Buren unanimously approved its Sheriff's Department's participation in the 287G program in order to receive funds to purchase vehicles, equipment, and technology it badly needed.

The week started with the Gravett School Board hearing results of the energy audit conducted by Ideal Impact, which suggested a lease purchase agreement for smart thermostats to help reduce fuel costs in its buildings.

Superintendent Jeff Gravett also discussed plans to increase student participation in the free breakfast and lunch program that was made available to all students, according to state law, with more funding available to districts that have at least 70% participating.
