Tom Kitten at $13.
Nick FooteHOST
35:50
He was beaten by Lindemann in the Craven Plate last start.
Nick FooteHOST
35:53
Lindemann obviously controlled things up on the speed.
Nick FooteHOST
35:55
Buckaroo at $14.
Nick FooteHOST
37:20
You've got Tom Kitten.
Nick FooteHOST
37:20
He'll be close enough as well in running to really get into his work.
Nick FooteHOST
37:24
He had to do it all himself in that Craven Plate.
Nick FooteHOST
37:27
It was a masterpiece by Nash, and he needed to sort of get that one back after probably not getting it right the start prior.
RichHOST
5:09
We're not going to watch her.
RichHOST
5:10
We're going to go back and watch the Craven Plate, her stablemate Lindemann, one of the more informed horses in Australia when he's placed right over the last sort of 18 months.
RichHOST
5:18
So he's out in front.
RichHOST
5:19
Tom Kitten, who's a very accomplished horse, coming at him.
Trav NoonanHOST
3:46
Of course, he had the good performance at 1,400 metres in the race leading into yesterday, but yeah, he was a bit disappointing.
Trav NoonanHOST
3:54
Let's go to the Craven Plate, race number six from Sydney there yesterday.
Trav NoonanHOST
3:57
Well, Lindemann, he just loves these races.
Trav NoonanHOST
4:00
They could rename this the Lindemann Plate.
Nick NoonanHOST
4:46
a peak Lindemann win, isn't it? Just get everything your own way out in front.
Nick NoonanHOST
4:49
And that's what you do when you sort of dictate a race like you can.
Nick NoonanHOST
4:51
And I did hear a stat after the race on Sky Channel there, they were saying that he becomes the, well, one of the horses that's won three Craven plates.
Nick NoonanHOST
5:01
One other horse that did that was Farlap way back in the day.
Trav NoonanHOST
8:22
Now they're run on the same day.
Trav NoonanHOST
8:23
There's a good card there as well with the invitation at Group 2 level and a couple of other really good races on the day, including the Craven Plate.
Trav NoonanHOST
8:30
Time-honoured race, the Craven Plate.
Trav NoonanHOST
8:32
You go back through its history, it's been won by some absolute champions of the turf.
Trav NoonanHOST
8:36
and Lindemann and Tom Kitten clash there in the big race.

John WalterGUEST
18:53
oh i know i i think you've got to kind of set up thinking on pace and stalking you definitely going to be ideal there's a little bit of wind around which could change during the day too i think the direction uh i don't think they would have put as much water on it as they may have Wanted to because there were showers predicted that never arrived so you would be surprised if it wasn't a firm deck there today and you know sort of a nine meter position is the dynamite leader position and we're not far away from that so yeah the firmer it is the harder it should be to run on wide so I'd be yeah I'd be setting up sympathetic to those on speed and if you want a back one that's going to be sort of back and circling I'd wait and see early.
John WalterGUEST
19:35
I think that's fair enough advice.
Trav NoonanHOST
19:36
Race number six, I'm really interested to get your thoughts here on the Craven Plate.
Luke MarlowHOST
13:13
Yeah, it's all part of the puzzle, guys, as we have a look at Randwick now.
Luke MarlowHOST
13:17
And Darren, we've got a couple of feature races on the program, the Invitation, the Spring Champion, the Craven Plate, etc.
Luke MarlowHOST
13:25
Any of those features that you're really keen on a particular runner in?
Darren FlindellPANELIST
13:30
Well, I'll start with the spring champion.
Luke MarlowHOST
17:00
davo anything on the randwick program you've got a good feel for today oh look
Brad DavidsonPANELIST
17:05
i've i've had more bits today across the country than i've had in the last five saturdays combined so i've sort of opened the uh open the shoulders a bit today um I actually chased a few at sort of, you know, odds early that I thought were overs.
Brad DavidsonPANELIST
17:18
I thought going to the Craven Plate, look, you know, Lindemann, he just gets blessed because he's got that early speed and he always gets in races with these sort of wait-for-age races in the middle distance where there's, They seem to have no speed at all, and a lot of them are sort of, you know, looking further.
Brad DavidsonPANELIST
17:36
He's going to get favours with what's going to be a firm track today, you would think, after we miss the rain and the rail at six.
Tim RyanGUEST
1:33
No, I might be cheering Lindemann today.
Tim RyanGUEST
1:35
Oh, you're kidding? I'm hitting very heavily back there in that Craven plate.
Tim RyanGUEST
1:39
So, no, I think I'll be cheering Lindemann.
Tim RyanGUEST
1:42
But, no, looking forward to another big day.

29 MINS LATER

Luke MarlowHOST
30:21
Race six, the calendar, Presnell.
Luke MarlowHOST
30:23
Now we go to race six.
Luke MarlowHOST
30:24
It's the Asahi Superdry Craven Plate, 1,800 metres.
Luke MarlowHOST
30:28
Lindemann, you mentioned earlier, Tim, he might go around a winner for you here.
ZachHOST
22:58
What we're going to do is we're going to pick a handful of races here and then sort of float around.
ZachHOST
23:03
I'm just going to start in race number six, which is the Craven Plate.
ZachHOST
23:06
This is where Lindemann is going around.
ZachHOST
23:08
It's 1,800 metres.
Nick FooteHOST
19:49
We've got the Five Diamonds Prelude as well there.
Nick FooteHOST
19:53
And the Craven Plate and the Calendar President will have plays in two at Randwick.
Nick FooteHOST
19:57
Yeah.
Nick FooteHOST
19:59
Morfettville will also duck across because daretodream.com.au. There's plays there.

33 MINS LATER

Dave StrelawHOST
52:49
I will not be surprised if he wins, but we've got to, you can't just take any price, can you? I think he's a good horse.
Nick FooteHOST
52:55
Yep.
Nick FooteHOST
52:55
Race six is the group two Craven plate.
Nick FooteHOST
52:58
Weight for age 1,800 meters.
Adam BrettHOST
36:06
Yep.
Adam BrettHOST
36:07
All right, let's turn our attention now to the Craven Plate, 1800 Group 2.
Adam BrettHOST
36:11
Your favourite in here, Lindemann Brownie at 230, but Hummer, I'd imagine that's where most of the money's gone in this
Rich HummerstonGUEST
36:18
one.
Trav NoonanHOST
57:06
Yeah, or if he comes down.
Trav NoonanHOST
57:07
There's some good races, obviously, in Sydney for him as well, whether he stays up there for the Craven Plate and the Rose Hill Gold Cup.
Trav NoonanHOST
57:13
Maybe even a zipping classic back end of the carnival could be a good race for him, but...
Trav NoonanHOST
57:17
Yeah, it's an interesting discussion OTI, John O'Shea and Tom Charlton have got to have whether they...
Trav NoonanHOST
57:34
Just on Lindemann for the Cox Plate, would you roll the dice with him at Flemington? He has raced well at Flemington in the past, unlike Caulfield.
Nick NoonanHOST
57:41
I don't know the Sydney calendar well enough to sort of see what other options there is.
Nick NoonanHOST
57:44
Well, the Craven Plate is on
Trav NoonanHOST
57:45
the same day.
