Jeff ComptonHOST

Up here, they would freeze up.
Jeff ComptonHOST
23:27
That PCV hose that would run under the intake, it would fill with condensation and then freeze.
Jeff ComptonHOST
23:33
And that poor thing would come in.
Jeff ComptonHOST
23:36
It's like, JT, it would come in and the valve cover would be puking oil, the rear main would be puking oil.
JJHOST
18:20
I'm thinking that at one point it...
JJHOST
18:26
I think maybe it's supposed to have a hose to and from the PCV, but there is no hose on it.
JJHOST
18:34
And it vents smoke like crazy when I'm running smoke into the intake.
JJHOST
18:40
And yeah, uh, there is no stray hose to be seen, but I'm constantly discovering things like I just yesterday finally found the transmission dipstick.

SterlingHOST
26:53
yeah that's it's the first thing that comes up
EricHOST
26:55
i was going through all the submissions that i've sent to my little sister and it's all just fucking dumbass memes and shit
SterlingHOST
27:03
PCV system.
SterlingHOST
27:04
Here's a rudimentary drawing on Facebook of, oh, it's not allowed because it's not on the Facebook group.
Chris SwitzerHOST
16:44
And
Ray GuarinoHOST
16:45
I wanted to get an IAC valve and a molded PCV hose.
Ray GuarinoHOST
16:49
It goes from the PCV and the valve cover over to the throttle body.
Ray GuarinoHOST
16:55
And there's another secondary throttle body to the EGR solenoid hose.
Ray GuarinoHOST
16:59
And I only found it in one place.

Ray GuarinoHOST
25:07
Another one, it was called, was it toyotapartsdirect.com, I think it was? So I got an email, and they're saying, hey, we'd like to give you an offer.
Ray GuarinoHOST
25:16
And I said, you know what? I ordered all the stuff to do a valve cover job on my Camry.
Ray GuarinoHOST
25:21
The valve cover, the seals, the PCV hoses, the PCV, all of that, just to have.
Ron AnanianHOST
24:54
So a clean throttle body on a regular basis is critical and it's important.
Ron AnanianHOST
24:59
Now, before you say, well, gee, Ron, if I change my air filter that you told me to change, why would I have a dirty throttle body? because generally throttle bodies get dirty because of crankcase ventilation and blow-by, or depending upon where the PCV port dumps off, or depending upon where the crankcase breather tube dumps off.
Ron AnanianHOST
25:20
But if you look at the way it's routed under the hood, you will come to the realization that, for whatever reason, PCV or crankcase relief tubing is generally close to the throttle body, and that's what causes the majority of the carbon buildup or the dirt and crud buildup.
Ron AnanianHOST
25:37
So just be aware.
Ron AnanianHOST
25:38
Change all the air filters you want.
Ron AnanianHOST
29:11
Intake valves, top of the pistons, intake manifold runners, things like that.
Ron AnanianHOST
29:18
Why does carbon form on intake valves? It's a question that seems to come up from time to time.
Ron AnanianHOST
29:24
Part of the issue is carbon builds up because there's oil vapor as a result of PCV or just normal engine operation.
Ray GuarinoHOST
13:23
I wanted to get an IAC valve, and now I don't think I need the IAC valve.
Ray GuarinoHOST
13:28
But my car has a pre-molded hose for the PCV valve.
Ray GuarinoHOST
13:33
It goes from the PCV in the valve cover, comes up, makes a bend, follows the valve cover, makes another bend, and goes into the throttle body where it gets its vacuum.
Ray GuarinoHOST
13:42
And I know
Chris SwitzerHOST
13:43
how you endure some plastic hosiery in your vehicles.
