Cranes

It's one of the greatest birding areas in the world.

And I think our program would be really powerful if it could coincide with Festival of the Cranes.

This is when the Sandhill Crane Migration is coming into Bosque del Apache.

And one of the most... fascinating emergence in nature I've ever had is laying out in a field when a humongous flock of sandhill cranes is coming in to land all around you and the sounds that they make and the wing beats.

And I, I just daydream about having a whole bunch of ground blinds.

These are the type they're laid down blinds that you would use for like duck hunting or goose hunting that you lay down in and you have kind of a mesh cover thing over you and having a whole group of kids and layout blinds in a field that's going to get completely covered up with Sandhill cranes and, and allowing those kids opportunity to capture that experience, either in still images or video clips or however.

And so the Festival of the Cranes is kind of what I've got my sights set on as far as the timing for a program that we might offer here.

And having this conversation with you just is like getting me ridiculously excited.
