No, I, I didn't think they would.

I, I, you know, I, I saw the Oilers, um, pass on Carter Hart, and I, and I don't have any facts about why that happened, but I just thought, "Well, maybe, maybe they're backed off this idea of giving second chances." So I was thinking, I was kind of thinking, you know, I like the Oilers organization to give second chances, like to Craig MacTavish, like to, um, Corey Perry, and Evander Kane, and Zack Kassian.

I think that's, you know, there's something, um, positive and, uh, affirming about a, a organization willing to do that.

So, uh, based on Hart, I was, I was thinking they would not, Bob.

And then there's even, you know, I, I know this was a, this was a long time ago.

Uh, I mean, Craig MacTavish actually did a year in prison for vehicular manslaughter about f- 40 years ago.

Um, you know, he was with the Boston Bruins.

They decided, you know, and they, they traded with the Oilers and said, "Let's get him out of that environment." Now, no, it's not exactly the same, but there are issues that have happened in Edmonton and in other cities of players who've been accused of a crime or actually done time for, for a crime, and then being brought to Edmonton to, to, you know, re- rejuvenate, rehab their careers.

And in some cases, like Craig MacTavish, doing it quite successfully, and I think he would be considered maybe one of the most respected members, uh, of the Oilers alumni by a lot of fans.

Now, I'm not saying that's gonna happen with Forminton, 'cause I, I, I don't think it will, 'cause this guy, from a hockey standpoint, I, I, I have no idea if he can play in the NHL.

The last time he played a full season in the NHL, he had a promising year.

When you've got a host and two guys, let's say on local Oilers broadcast, producers are at the point where if the lips are moving on the screen, they're happy.

They couldn't care less what's coming out of Joaquin Gage's mouth or Craig MacTavish's mouth or Bob Stauffer's mouth.

They don't care.

"Oh, their lips are moving and the sound is up.
