It came from parenting them, not wanting to say the wrong things, because I was aware of these things on a surface level from the pre-adoptive training.

But then having the children in the home really created just a sense of insecurity, I think, within myself.

Am I going to say the wrong thing? And so not wanting them to feel that I wasn't confident and also wanting to be able to support these behaviors so that they could feel the connection and I'm not saying the wrong thing.
