Courtney Walsh

It was a master class of commentary right throughout yesterday.

Courtney Walsh has tied a lot of that together in a piece at Fox Sports online.

And Bharat, you've written a lovely piece of the encasing of the baggy green.

It would've been break in case of emergency.

But I think the bigger impact would've been in one day cricket.

Uh, Ian s- uh, Courtney Walsh is a slight obsession of mine.

No one believes he was West Indies' best bowler, but now he's almost certainly their leading wicket-taker forever.

[chuckles] Uh, what happens if he was born 30 years later? He obviously prioritized Red Ball cricket and played 11 seasons in county c- championship between '84 and '98 with a couple of breaks.

We, um, I did an interview with J- uh, Jason Holder the other day, which will be, uh, up very, very shortly.

Um, and it's interesting listening to Jason Holder essentially learn T20 bowling later in his career, and that's 'cause he was so good in Test cricket, right? And he was prioritizing that.

So there's almost two different Courtney Walshs.

There's one that's more on the Jason Holder level that's so good in Test cricket that doesn't really develop in T20 cricket, and then there's a second one who becomes one of the best defensive T20 bowlers in the world, is my guess, and plays in every single league.

of this person, let me tell you right now.

So interestingly, the article written by Courtney Walsh, I was taken aback by that because I thought it was.

Must be serious.

But nothing to do with that whatsoever from Fox Sports, but we'll get onto that in a moment.

He's gone, hey, Tuggers, on behalf of all Crows members, can you please unload on Twitter? You are our only hope.

And why he's saying this is because we found out that there was a shock Aussie test call-up, and it raises eyebrows of selectors and of media personalities.

Now, this article was written by Fox Sports' Courtney Walsh and Josh Higgins.

Now, they said, Nick Madison, shock return to Australian test squad almost a decade after his last appearance, has raised eyebrows ahead of the first match against South Africa.

I, I think, um, it was really good.

They actually highlighted, um, or nearly all the bowlers b- uh, talking to Courtney Walsh, um, on the sideline.

Mm.

Getting that kind of statistic feedback-

I saw that stick to cricket part.

And I asked Courtney Walsh, how many matches did you miss? He said, I missed one match in my entire career.

But

that's

It's a Canadian.

I've heard there's some guys named Courtney.

So there you go.

Yeah.

Yeah, yeah.

Absolutely.

Well, Courtney Walsh, one of the most feared West Indian fast bowlers.

Yeah, absolutely.

They're just beautiful.

Um, and the other guy is Courtney Walsh.

You know?

Yeah.

... see on the video form.

This is a Courtney Walsh...

It's not really a card.

It's kind of a scratchie.

This is, this is the same era, yeah.

So Courtney's in the stride, in the delivery stride on the front, just to make this work, uh, y-on a podcast medium.

You've got an ACB badge, so before the rebranding, Australian Cricket Board badge, with the same West Indies shield, uh, Courtney Walsh, West Indies, it says.

And then on the back, "Find Michael Slater's cards in Buttercup's promotional bread bags." Probably not many Michael Slater promotions kicking around these days, you would have thought.

Viv Richards should be in there.

Courtney Walsh should be in there.

MS Dhoni should be in there.

Malinga and Miralithram should be in there.
