And Ali Anderson's first game back, still haven't got Courtney Hodder back on that park as well.

So, yeah, a bit of a transition year for the girls.

Obviously, when we played them, they didn't have Dakota Davidson, Courtney Hodder, Ali Anderson, three pretty handy players, so they'll be right up there again.

They're outside the eight at the moment, though, so wouldn't want to see them.

So still no Courtney Hodder.

She was on the injury report, and she's still not in the team.

So I really don't know what's going on there at the moment.

And if they get themselves into final, well, we've seen much like the men's team, if they get themselves into final, they can get on a roll and, you know, and push towards a prelim final and who knows what.

Speaking of Nessa Dooley, we did get this message from Riley saying you were discussing the lack of firepower in the forward line last week with Dakota and Courtney Hodder out.

Obviously we lost Taylor Smith in the off season.

And although I think her impact and ability has been a bit overstated, which seems insane for me to say, considering she was our lead goal kicker for the last few years, we are perhaps missing that second tall in our structure.

Prediction for the top six forwards at the beginning of the season was Michaela Bowen, Bonnie Tugud, Courtney Hodder, Charlie Mullins, Ash Richards, and Ron Fitzpatrick.

for those that listened to that forwards episode, you'll remember that I told all the listeners that I had in the run sheet before the show refused to put in an F6 because I didn't know who it would be.

I just wanted to put out at this point that we do have a minimum two games played if anyone's upset about Maggie Marnie not making the top six.

I think you've got to play at least two games to make this top six rankings.

Yes, and I also think it's fair to note that obviously when we did, as much as Maddie Gay is in a tough spot when it comes to our rankings because she's now looking like she'll be out for a while, I didn't know that Courtney Hodder would not play any of the first three games of the season.

Unsurprisingly.

But I think the damage had sort of already been done.

And I wonder whether the result would have been the same if the Lions had had some of their players that they were missing in, Dakota Davidson, Ali Anderson, Courtney Hodder.

So there's some big outs for the Lions there.

So I think you'd take some encouragement from the fact that you were competitive enough without having some of those players.
