yeah right courtney hartman on guitar she's such a soulful player

yeah

and sharon gilchrist on bass Thank you.

And then, do you want to talk about our gatherings? We just started.

So Courtney Hartman, a musician in Eau Claire, and then Katie J, or Katie Johnson, who's a visual artist, and myself had kind of talked about what would it look like to bring together women? And Courtney really was the seed of this idea of what does it look like to bring together creative women and female identifying folks who work in different materials, mediums, but to meet once a quarter to talk about our projects.

And so we've we met through that and had a couple of those already this year.

Yeah.

I've been really digging...

I love Courtney Hartman.

Yeah, she's amazing.

Oh, man, I was listening to...

have heard him playing very melodic stuff as well, which I think it's harder if we would narrow it down to what are some of your favorite players that stick to the melody, do you know what I mean? Not the shredders.

Yeah, I love that.

Well, Courtney Hartman is still in my list, if that's the case, because I think she's a very strong player that way.

Man, who else is a good one? It's harder, right? It's harder, you know, because, yeah, and I'm like, there are names that are coming to mind, but they're already like famous people like, you know, like Chris Eldridge, you know, like when he sticks to the melody, he plays great, beautiful, like lush things, you know, but people know Critter.

Lindsay Liu is a staple on bluegrass festivals everywhere, joining guests such as Green Sky Bluegrass and Billy Strings, as well as headlining her own sets and being a member of, I guess you could call them little supergroup trios, the Sweetwater Warblers and the Honeymoon Trio.

And she just has a new record out featuring a cast of women from top to bottom, from engineers and producers to musicians to songwriters, all featuring a project of visibility, as she says, featuring some vast guests of this show, including Courtney Hartman, Sierra Hull, Molly Tuttle, as well as Alison Brown, Sarah Giroux's whole cast of incredible musicians.

Yeah.

And this conversation, as you find out quickly, Lindsay is a new mother.
