Counterpunch

The enthusiasm that he showed in his post-fight celebration, the excitement to having won that world title just shows us that there's still a lot of hunger out left in Canelo Alvarez there's still a lot of competitiveness the will to want to win and achieve on a high level the will to want to rack up the accolades he said it felt like his winning his first world title all over again so shout out to Canelito that put himself back in the championship category I wouldn't necessarily call it one of his best performances, but it certainly was one of his best performances.

Counterpunching at his highest level and really making Mbili think twice about wanting to let hands go on Canelo.

We were expecting a certain type of fight from Mbili, and Canelo's counterpunching left that out the door.

They questioned his age.

The question I have is, just to play the counterpoint to the Canadiens' three-game winning streak, it's almost reminiscent in a way.

to how the Canadians used to win games, right? Counterpunch, counterpunch, counterpunch, lean on the goaltender, win these hockey games.

Because if you break it down, just in the window of the last three games, what happened in Chicago on Friday night? Jake Evans scored a pair, fourth line was fantastic.

Fast forward to the Heritage Classic in Winnipeg on Sunday night, what happened there? Lane Hudson scored, backdoor post, and Caden Gooley scored.

He did a great job having the right fight plan.

Counterpunching, controlling the center of the ring.

Make, you know, I thought there was spots I was getting a little, not worried, but...

A little bit, I don't know, a little concerned where there were some spots I didn't think that Foster used his jab enough.

They knocked the sound.

And what did the brewers do? Counterpunch counterpunch.

And the rest of the game, it was just surgical.

You almost knew like it was going to happen.

Like, from start to finish, it was like...

Counterpunch after counterpunch.

One team took the lead.

Another team took the lead.

You're telegraphing it.

Hey, Snoop, dry up, will you? Counterpunch, kid! I told you, counterpunch! Keep your right up,

Gavino.

Block when he hooks.
