Count Your Blessings

And before you ask, no, they never recorded or released a single.

One of the songs that they would sing was Count Your Blessings.

You may have heard it from long ago.

The chorus goes, "Count your blessings, name them one by one.

Count your many blessings, see what God has done." This song has been my mother's soundtrack for as long as I have...

can remember.

I'm going to start thanking with a heart of gratitude.

You know, what's amazing is when you start listening, you know, there is an old hymn called Count Your Blessings.

Name them one by one.

And I remember sitting in a pew on a Wednesday night prayer meeting at my grandfather's church, sitting by my grandmother and my mom.

And the choir would sing, count your blessings, name them one by one.

Count your blessings, see what God has done.

Count your blessings.

And then all of a sudden, you know, it would pause.
