And it opened the pathway of education and academia, which I never see it coming.

So for me, that's why that process has been so much, because after we came back from South Africa, I ended up being awarded a scholarship to go and study at the University of Nice as well, a football scholarship.

And from that, I ran with that and took it and just multiplied that opportunity to where I am today.

It's such an incredible story of resilience and strength because, like, uh, at, at any point in, in the story that you've told us, even in this brief little [laughs] explanation of it all, uh, it could've made people just give up, you know? This is all too hard.

And then I've had a series of, uh, research grants and positions that have sort of allowed, you know, further research into this in, um, in various contexts.

I mean, uh, I was at ear cam for, uh, for a little bit, I was, uh, um, Well, between IRCAM and University of Nice and then getting a postdoc at Royal Holloway and now getting a UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship, UK Research and Innovation.

And this fellowship has allowed me to do this project, Cyborg Soloist, which is a major project.

a research project which has allowed me to do sort of really go into these different technologies in more detail.

He holds the Junior Professor Chair on the Economics of Artificial Intelligence and Innovation at Université Côte d'Azur and Gredec CNRS.

And at his chair, AI is studied as a technology, as a market, an industry, and also a commodity, all through the lens of economic theory.
