Corsi

You had one shot on goal.

You had three Corsi for four power plays and you took three shots at the net and that's it.

Horrible.

That's that is inexcusable.

I just didn't think he generated much.

You look at his Corsi six shot attempts to 10 at five on five and five shots on goal to two while his line was on the ice.

And again, I mentioned this.

When he doesn't have a scoring winger, you got to hope that you can at least be a plus.

So the Corsi was 66.1, which is great.

Expected goal is 52.9, which is good.

It's over 50%.

Um, their Corsi for was 48.25%.

Their shots for was 48.74%.

They faced 26 shot attempts against.

The Fenwick, which I don't bring up a lot because I just prefer Corsi.

Fenwick is Corsi, but it removes blocked shots.

He only faced 13 unblocked shot attempts.

It was 35% rather than 27%.

The perfect sort of example of that would be Corsi.

Now, I like using Corsi, but the question is, do you have to lead in Corsi to win, or do teams who win tend to lead in shot attempts? That's the question.

Basically goose your numbers by just firing pucks from wherever you wanted, whether it was, you know, from distance, from the beyond the blue line, from the perimeter in the attacking zone.

If you take more shot attempts, your Corsi numbers will improve.

But having a strong Corsi number doesn't necessarily mean you're an effective player.

All it means is that you shoot the puck without regard for awareness of, you know, of on ice impact.

And then shots on goal, actually, and these are all 5 and 5, are 29 to 17.

So that's Corsi is all shots at the net for Fenwick takes away block shots and shots for his only shots on goal takes away block shots and shots that didn't hit scoring chances 24 to 13 for Edmonton high danger chances 7 to 5 for Edmonton expected goals 2.6 to 1.09 again at 5 and 5 so that means in all situations expected goals were for 3.73 for them and 1.65 so that tells you how bad Jari played and how well Actually, not how well Lankan played, but how bad Jari played.
